@anik-chatterji There is various other autoimmune arthritis other than RA which can cause joint pains like AS, gout etc. So it needs complete evaluation to diagnose a specific joint condition.

@krit The success rate of TKR surgery is quite high if it is done by an experienced surgeon. There are few lifestyle modifications needed after TKR which need to be followed.
Remember the main aim of TKR is Pain-Free Mobility.
So pls visit an experienced doctor for a complete evaluation and then decide.

@bratati It is a common finding that the joint pains in various arthritis flare-up during winters. we recommend using warm clothing and getting yourself evaluated for the arthritic profile to know the exact cause. There are various joint mobilization exercises to prevent stiffness. Early morning joint pain with swelling is an indication of RA which needs further evaluation. As TKR is a replacement procedure, it takes gradual time to settle things. We advice gradual mobilization, physio and mild analgesics SOS for 15 days or till the patient is comfortable. few precautions like limb elevation and gradual mobilization lessen the pain.
