@tim Hello, Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot that develops within a deep vein in the body, usually in the leg. DVT usually occurs in a deep leg vein, a larger vein that runs through the muscles of the calf and the thigh. It can also occur in the pelvis or abdomen. Anything that prevents your blood from flowing or clotting normally can cause a blood clot. Contact your doctor if you have again had its symptoms. Thanks!

@thom Hello, yes it is true. Exercise is important for people with DVT because it helps circulation. Aerobic activity -- things like walking, hiking, swimming can also help. According to a few studies, exercise also can improve deep veins thrombosis symptoms like swelling, discomfort, and redness. Physical activity can also make you feel more energized. Being active while having deep vein thrombosis is important. Before trying anything new please contact your doctor to prevent future complications. Thanks.
