      Hello, Do placental product help in wound healing? I learnt that placenta is a biomedical waste but it has lot of medicinal qualities. Please elaborate on this. It has been proven to be a good wound healing agent. Please leave your comments on this.

        @pipasha The matrix components of the placenta are similar to those of the skin and several growth factors in the placenta are involved in wound healing and angiogenesis. Therefore, the compositional and biological properties of the placenta have the potential to provide a highly favorable environment for wound healing. The use of placental membranes for wound treatment has been reported for over 100 years as an allogeneic wound covering. Human placental membranes have been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiscarring properties, which are favorable for wound healing.
