Hello, Osteoporosisweakens bones, increasing the risk of unforeseen fractures. Women are generally at higher risk than men. In women particularly over 45 years of age, fractures result from osteoporosis. Although osteoporosis is most common in older people, it affects young people, including women who are in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. Can anyone tell me Why osteoporosis is more common in women? What increases and causes osteoporosis in women?

@tann Hello, The reason why women suffer from osteoporosis is Women have smaller and thinner bones compared to men, and Oestrogen, a hormone in women which protects bones, starts decreasing rapidly with menopause, causing bone loss. Some women have low bone density which increases the chance of suffering from osteoporosis later during their lifetime.
