Hello, I have been treated for a yeast infection a few weeks ago because I had intermittent burning and yeast in the folds of my vulva. I have used a clotrimazole cream, oral fluconazole pills, and betadine, yet the burning still remains, and I still have a white lining with little white dots on my vulva that doesn't go away with the medication or even with simple cleaning with water. My next gynecologist appointment is in a month. The pain is becoming unbearable. What do you think this is? what should I do?

@aylee Hello, reach out to your doctor as soon as possible. It could be Lichen sclerosus. It is an inflammatory disorder that affects the skin on your genitals. It causes irritation, skin changes, itching, and pain. It causes your skin to become discolored, thin, irritated, and itchy. Blisters and sores may also form on your genitals. Lichen sclerosus isn’t life-threatening, but it can cause extreme discomfort without treatment. Please talk to your doctor. Thanks.
