Hello, I am 33 years old male. I am just over a month after my diabetes diagnosis. I was put on metformin twice a day. I just went to new primary care and he wants to add Ozempic injections once a week. He says it will help with weight loss. Has anyone tried this yet? And if so any advice or reviews? Should I consider her advice? Please let me know what should I do?

@poria Hello, Ozempic is meant as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
Ozempic is taken once a week, exactly as prescribed by your health care provider, along with diet and exercise, to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. The beginning dose is 0.25 mg once a week for the first 4 weeks. This will help give your body a chance to get used to the medicine. Yes, drug companies do offer incentives to doctors that push their drugs as do local authorities for detection rates. Thanks!
