Hi, I am 21 years old. I got my period when I was 12 years old. I never experienced cramps in the initial years but from the last two years, it became unbearable. Even a hot water bag doesn't work. I even vomit on the first day of my period. Is there anyone who is facing the same issue?

@saloni Hello there, it may sound easy, but I know it's not. It's normal to have cramps and feel nauseous on the initial days of your period. A hormone called prostaglandin circulates around your body. It can cause nausea, vomiting, and headache. Having too many prostaglandins, which are chemicals that your uterus makes. These chemicals make the muscles of your uterus tighten and relax, and this causes the cramps. The pain can start a day or two before your period. It normally lasts for a few days.
        Have tried medicines or painkillers?

@minipaliwal No, I have never taken painkillers for my cramps. Should I?

@saloni Hey, I will suggest that you should visit a gynecologist first. He will prescribe you certain tests and medicines. I hope you get better. Thank you.
