I have hypothyroidism. Why do I get shortness of breath before one week of my period?

Hello, since the birth of my child 2 years ago, I have been getting short of breath about a week before I start my period. My Gynecologist says he has never heard of this and he thinks it is all in my mind. Of course, it isn't! Anyway, I am a healthy 29-year-old. The only medical problem I have is hypothyroidism and I am taking medication for it. Thank you for your time. Please help me with this,

Just before and during your period, progesterone and estrogen levels decrease. In some women, these hormone changes may worsen asthma.
