@eduardo-0 this is how I've been taught to take bp readings. Relax a few minutes..sit in a chair with your back supported, feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table, making sure your upper arm is level with your heart. Apply the cuff to the LEFT arm, about 1 1/2" above the bend in the elbow. Make sure the cuff isn't too loose or too tight, because that can give you inaccurate readings. If you can comfortably insert two fingers into the top of the cuff, then it's the correct tightness. Be sure the cable of the cuff runs down the center of your inner arm, & lines up with your middle finger. You've probably guessed by now...you sit with your palm UP. Don't force your arm UP, do it in a relaxed fashion. If it's slightly & I mean very slightly rotated, don't be concerned about it. Take a reading..disregard that reading because it's very likely inaccurate. Take 3 consecutive readings about 2 min apart, then average them out. That's your reading.

RE: Blood Sugar jumps 4.0. to 7.1 in half hour. Problem?
@bushith Hey, it seems you are in the prediabetic stage as this does not happen with a normal healthy person. It is really strange that your meter shows this reading after having a drink. It is a matter of concern and should go for a diagnosis. Apart from this, are you having an active lifestyle or passive lifestyle? If you have an active lifestyle then this is pretty good but if passive then you should be more cautious about your health. Try to adopt a healthy lifestyle by adding a few aerobic exercises and diabetic food meals. One other reason for the imbalance in glucose levels is stress, try to manage that by taking proper sleep, taking sleep for around 8 hours.

RE: vitamin D DEFICIENCY..Suggestion Plss
@parvin Sorry to hear you are feeling so awful again. Do you get outside for some sunshine? That can really help with Vit D. Try to get out around midday with no sunscreen for 20 mins or so. Also check out the foods you need to be eating to supplement these vitamins. Did the Dr give you any reason for it being so low again?

RE: I am 38 yes old and have a irregular pain in my right breast for about 2 months
@mehreen You are getting to an age where your breasts can really start to swell up, get lumps and be very painful. Sometimes it would feel like they were on fire. Keep a note of when you have your period and when you ovulate and see if there is a pattern. If there is, it is probably cyclical breast pain which is really common when our hormones change. You may be just about to start your perimenopause. I was told if your lumps are painful that is usually a good sign and it usually means it is hormonal. The worst thing you can do is read up on breast cancer symptoms because you can convince yourself that you have some of them and until you can get an ultrasound there is nothing you can do. Breast lumps and pain are very common and are usually nothing to worry about.

RE: Can someone help me treat this redness?
@vamsi After getting a haircut, try washing the hair with regular oil or shampoo mixed with two drops of chamomile or tea tree essential oil.
Both these oils are good anti-histamines that reduce rashes on the scalp.
Try a small patch test before applying it to the hair. Since these are natural plant oil extracts, the possibility of any side effects is minimal. -
RE: Symptoms and transmission of Monkey pox
@shipra-1 Monkeypox does not spread easily between people. Human-to-human transmission occurs through close contact with infectious material from skin lesions of an infected person, through respiratory droplets in prolonged face-to-face contact, and through fomites.
Symptom
Human monkeypox often begins with a combination of the following symptoms: fever, headache, chills, exhaustion, asthenia, lymph node swelling, back pain and muscle aches. A rash commonly develops one to three days after the onset of fever, first appearing on the face and spreading to other parts of the body, including hands and feet.
Severity
The clinical manifestation of monkeypox is usually mild, like in most of the cases reported in Europe to date. In Nigeria, the West African clade has been observed to have a case-fatality rate of 3.3%. Mortality is higher among children and young adults, and immunocompromised individuals are especially at risk of severe forms of the disease. Most people recover within weeks.Infected people should remain isolated until scabs fall off and should especially avoid close contact with immunosuppressed persons and pets. Cases should remain in their own room when at home, and use designated household items (clothes, bed linen, towels, eating utensils, plates, glasses), which should not be shared with other members of the household.
Close contacts of monkeypox cases should self-monitor for the development of symptoms for 21 days after the last exposure and should avoid close physical contact with young children, pregnant women and immunocompromised persons until MPX is excluded. -
RE: Severe eye strain?
@vrushali Definitely go to an optician to get your eyes checked out. You may need glasses for screen work. Just staring at a screen for 8 hours per day is very taxing on the eyes. You should be able to take a break at least once per hour when you walk away from the screen and blink rapidly
