@prabir It has previously been shown that leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) guards against cognitive decline, dementia, and Alzheimer disease (AD). However, data on the association between LTPA and brain MRI measures remain scarce. The investigators conducted a cross-sectional MRI analysis of 1557 older adults (average age, 75 years; 64% women) who were enrolled in the Washington/Hamilton Heights–Inwood Columbia Aging Project study, which was created to assess a community-based, multiethnic elderly cohort.

Smokers With Heart Disease Could Gain 5 Years by Quitting
Smoking cessation appears to be comparable to the use of three targeted drugs in warding off future major cardiovascular events in smokers with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), according to a new study. According to data from six large, prospective randomized trials, patients would gain, on average, 4.8 years free of a myocardial infarction (MI) or stroke by quitting smoking or by taking bempedoic acid, colchicine, and a PCSK9 inhibitor.
Neuropathophysiological Indicators in ASD May Dissipate With Age
White matter aberration appears greatest among younger ASD cohorts. In older adolescents and young adults, less of the corpus callosum seems affected. The findings of this study support the suggestion that some early neuropathophysiological indicators in ASD may dissipate with age. There is strong evidence for structural and functional neuropathophysiology underlying autism spectrum disorder (ASD) symptomatology. The corpus callosum is the largest commissural tract in the brain and is one of the most commonly implicated white matter tracts in research investigating the structural neuropathophysiology of ASD.

RE: A 57-year-old man with chest pain!!
@aishadipta Although the presentation could be attributable to any of the above differential diagnoses, the most likely etiology given the clinical picture and risk factors is one of cardiac ischemia. Risk factors include gender, smoking status and age making the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome the most likely one. The broad differential diagnosis in patients presenting with chest pain has been discussed extensively in the medical literature.
