@nilabjo Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., which is estimated to become the second leading cause by 2030. About 15%-20% of patients are candidates for surgical resection at the time of diagnosis, with survival rates below 10%. These statistics have led pancreatic cancer screening to be studied with the goal of detecting earlier stages of the disease to improve survival.

RE: Raw Fruits and Veggies Best for Mental Health!
@nilabjo Six aspects of mental health were measured to capture both negative and positive aspects of the illness/wellness continuum: depressive symptoms, anxiety, negative mood, positive mood, life satisfaction, and flourishing. Raw FVI had the strongest positive associations with most of the mental health measures. After controlling for demographic and health covariates, raw FVI was associated with fewer depressive symptoms and higher positive mood, life satisfaction, and flourishing. Intake of raw fruits was also associated with reduced negative mood. By contrast, processed FVI was only positively associated with mood; it was not positively associated with any of the other mental health variables.

Patients With Colorectal Cancer: OK to Eat Meat?
Patients already diagnosed with colorectal cancer do not face an increased risk of either disease recurrence or death if they eat red or processed meats, suggests a new analysis of prospective US trial data. The results suggest that it is okay for patients with colorectal cancer to eat these foodstuffs, which is in direct contrast to current recommendations. This is based on the known association between red and processed meat intake and an increased risk of colorectal cancer. This association was confirmed yet again just recently, as reported by Medscape Medical News, but it comes from studies in the general population.

RE: I have got tanning on my wrist due to regular use of watch, how to remove that?
@sreejon The best way to get rid of a watch tan is to stop getting a tan! If you shield the surrounding skin from sun, the area that is under your watch will match more with the surrounding skin.
The other way is to stop wearing your watch during the time of the sun exposure. It is safer to shield from the sun! -
What are the side effects of chlorpromazine?
Chlorpromazine is used to treat certain mental/mood disorders (such as schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, manic phase of bipolar disorder, severe behavioral problems in children). Chlorpromazine helps you to think more clearly, feel less nervous, and take part in everyday life. It can reduce aggressive behavior and the desire to hurt yourself/others. It may also help to decrease hallucinations (hearing/seeing things that are not there).

RE: My period is prolonging for more than a week, what should I do?
@nilanjana Changes to your hormones or ovulation may cause a long period. You may notice hormonal changes when you first get your period during puberty or in perimenopause. You may also experience a hormonal imbalance from different health conditions, such as thyroid disorders or polycystic ovary syndrome. If your hormones aren’t at a normal level or if your body doesn’t ovulate during your menstrual cycle, the uterine lining can become very thick. When your body finally sheds the lining, you may experience a period that’s longer than normal.
