Pain after 7 days of Total Knee Replacement surgery

Hello, My mother recently had Total Knee Replacement surgery. Even after 7 days, she has unbearable pain. She is even unable to sit. Is this normal to have this much pain even after 7 days of Total Knee Replacement Surgery? Should I report this to her doctor?
