What is seed cycling?
-
Hi, I am 18 years old. I have been diagnosed with PCOS recently. My neighbors suggested seed cycling to maintain PCOS. I don’t know which seeds to use and what’s the process? Can anyone help me with this?

@dhanashree Hello, I am sorry to hear that. Yes, a seed is very helpful in PCOS. Seed cycling involves rotating certain types of seeds throughout your menstrual cycle, to promote a hormone balance. In a typical menstrual cycle, estrogen levels rise during the first half of the cycle (the follicular phase) and progesterone levels rise during the second half of the cycle (the luteal phase). When these key hormones are imbalanced, it can lead to menstrual irregularities, including breast tenderness, painful periods, acne, and PCOS symptoms.
Seed cycling is divided into two phases-:
Phase one- During phase one, which lasts two weeks, you eat a tablespoon of flax and a tablespoon of pumpkin seeds.
Phase two- During phase two, which also lasts two weeks, you switch to sunflower and sesame seeds.
Seed cycling either enhances or inhibits the production of estrogen and progesterone in the body and balances the hormone.
