How often should I take protein supplements?

Hi, I am a 24-year-old male. I am currently taking protein supplements once a day. I am new to this. I haven’t taken any type of muscle gainer or protein supplements before. Can anyone suggest to me how often should I take protein supplements? I take them with a shake.

@ronal-puri Hello and welcome, there is no rule about drinking protein shakes, and having too many of them in one day likely won’t have any long-term detrimental effects. For most people, anywhere from one to three protein shakes per day should be plenty to help them meet their nutritional needs. Drinking more than three shakes per day probably won't be detrimental. The protein powder you use will tell you how much protein one scoop provides, and you can use that information to calculate how many scoops you may need to make up for what you’re lacking with other foods. If you do want to make shakes a regular part of your eating plan, your health goals and your doctor can help you figure out how often to use them.
