Hello, now a days zika infection is spreading very fast. After COVID 19, we all are worried and want to take precaution before hand. I am not much aware of zika virus, how does it spread or what are all the symptoms of it. I also heard that zika infection is very fatal for pregnant woman. Please elaborate on the symptoms of this virus.

Only about 1 in 5 people with the virus will exhibit symptoms. The vast majority have no symptoms at all. Call your doctor if you develop symptoms and you live in or have visited an area where Zika is spreading. Pregnant women who have Zika symptoms at any point during their pregnancy should be tested for Zika. Once a person has been infected, scientists believe they are probably protected from future infections.
