Hello, I am a 21 years old female. My sister had a miscarriage but she said she didn’t feel any pain or the pain she imagined. Is miscarriage pain the same as labor pain?

@kiana Hello, I experienced the same pain as period cramps. She had a miscarriage at which week of pregnancy?

@kiana The pain is not like labor but in the initial weeks of miscarriage feels like a period cramp. If you miscarry naturally, even in the early weeks of pregnancy, you are likely to have period-like cramps that can be extremely painful. This is because the uterus is tightly squeezed to push its contents out as it does in labor – and some women do experience contractions, not unlike labor. You are also likely to bleed heavily and to pass large clots. You may pass a recognizable baby or fetus, perhaps still in the pregnancy sac.
