Upper abdominal pain in the evening, also when eating, and burping a lot

Hello, I'm posting this for my wife. She has a lot of upper abdominal pain/discomfort, especially in the evening. Also, she has pain when eating, which makes it difficult to continue eating. She also burps a lot, and she says that it sometimes feels like food is trying to come up when she burps. Her doctor recommended Prilosec, which she has been taking every day. Also, she often drinks warm lemon/honey water in the evening. Both of these remedies seem to help reduce the symptoms to some extent, but not totally. We are wondering if you all have any idea what could be the root of her upper abdominal pain

@mayuresh this sounds like gastritis! it is a condition where you get pockets of acid that sit in your stomach right across, up and down. you could ask her to try Gaviscon, with suggestions from your doctor. the acid bubbles form together and are then released safely.
