Hello, I am a 22 years old female. I used to go to the gym every day last year. I stopped working out due to the lockdown. Two weeks ago I again started working out at the gym. I have severe body pain after I started working out. I know it hurts when you exercise after a long time but it only hurts for two to three days. Can anyone suggest to me how I can get rid of post-workout pain?

@nirbhika Hello, yes intense workout can cause body pain. If you think it is unbearable then talk to your doctor. Here are some tips: keep moving, rest and recover (Taking a day off gives your body a chance to repair itself and replenish your energy). Apply heat (If your muscles still ache after 48 hours, try heat. It can stimulate blood flow to your muscles to ease tightness and help them feel better. Try a warm (not hot) towel or heating pad. But be careful). Massage (It can relieve muscle tension, boost blood flow, and increase the range of motion in your joints. It’s also a great mood-lifter. When your muscles are sore, a gentle massage is best). Seek medical help if your pain doesn’t get better.
