Hello, I am 19 years old suffering from chilblains. My toes get itchy and have small swellings on the skin of my toe. Earlier it used to happen only during winter but I spotted swelling during summers as well. It gets itchy as well. Is it chilblains or something else as it happens in cold temperatures? Is it possible to get chilblains in summers too?

@adi Hello, yes all it takes is repeated exposure to the cold. It happens at temperatures above freezing. Chilblains, or perniosis, is a condition affecting the fingers and toes, in which blood seeps into the surrounding tissues and causes redness, itching, inflammation, and sometimes blisters. If it gets chronic then do visit a doctor.
