Hello, I am a 20 years old male. My friend was 22 years old when his big toe swelled and he went to have it checked. The doctor indicated that it could be COVID-19. Can swelling in the toes be the symptom of Covid-19?

@hinay-kapoor Hello and welcome Yes swelling, rashes, and discoloration can be the symptom of covid-19. Many people don’t feel anything and only realize that they have COVID toes when they see the discoloration and swelling on their feet (or hands). To reduce pain or itching, the doctor advises applying hydrocortisone cream to the affected area. COVID toes can last 10 to 14 days. Some patients have COVID toes for months.
