Lost 6 weeks baby. How can I deal with miscarriage depression?
-
Hello, I am a 28 years old male. My wife and I recently lost our first baby. She was 6 weeks pregnant. Two weeks back we had a miscarriage since then she is crying. I don't know what I should do. I even talked to her and talked to her doctor. She said it happens after a miscarriage. I think she is depressed because she doesn't go out and is even unable to perform daily tasks. How can I deal with this situation?

@harshit-sharma Hello, sorry for your loss. It’s normal to feel deep sadness and grief after a miscarriage. Depression after a miscarriage is usually most severe immediately after pregnancy is lost. It can take a long time to recover emotionally from a miscarriage. You can take her to the doctor. Some common treatments for depression include: psychotherapy to help you work through your emotions and healthily cope with your grief, antidepressant medications to help balance chemicals in the brain and alleviate depressive symptoms. There are resources available to help you cope with depression after a miscarriage. I hope she gets better with time.
