Hello, I am an 18 years old male. I noticed a rash on my index finger. It doesn’t go away. Earlier I thought it was an insect bite but my mom told me it looks something else. The rash on my index finger itches sometimes. I am worried now as the rash has been on my skin for more than three weeks. Could it be a symptom of kidney disease? Can a rash on a finger be a symptom of kidney disease?

@parth-seth Hello, it could be a symptom of kidney infection. When kidneys cannot remove waste from your body, a rash can develop. Seek medical help as soon as possible. A kidney infection can sometimes lead to a dangerous condition called sepsis. Symptoms of sepsis include fever, chills, rapid breathing and heart rate, rash, and confusion. A kidney infection that becomes chronic, or long lasting, can cause permanent damage to your kidneys.
