Period cramps after one week of menstruation
-
Hello, I am an 18 years old female. One week after my period ended I started feeling period cramps? Is it normal to have period cramps one week after having my period? I'm feeling period symptoms but my period already ended a week ago.

@elza Hello, Many women experience abdominal cramping before or during their menstrual cycle. Yet, it’s also possible to have post-period cramps. Painful cramping after your period is known as secondary dysmenorrhea. It’s more common during adulthood. Sometimes cramping after your period isn’t serious. But if you have persistent pain from cramping that lasts longer than your menstrual cycle, it could be a sign that you have an underlying condition like endometriosis, Adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, Ovarian cysts. If your cramps don’t get better or you develop other symptoms, it’s important to seek medical help.
