Weak immune system
I am a 24-year-old female. My diet is very plant based. I get all my recommended food in recommended amount. I have a fruit smoothie for breakfast every morning, a salad or veggie soup for lunch, and I always make a healthy dinner. I also work out almost daily.
When I feel a cold coming on, I kick up my vitamin C intake orange juice.
What can I do further to help my immune system? Is this something I should bring to my doctor's attention? I'm really over being sick all of the time.
@aamani You should absolutely talk to your doctor and have some blood work done. Blood work can detect if you have deficiencies or anything which can be corrected by diet or supplements. It can also pick up on abnormalities. There are many autoimmune diseases which your doctor will want to rule out.
Please do make an appt for a full physical and talk to your doctor about your situation. You could have an infections which is causing all this...
