Hello, I am a 20 years old female. I have frequent panic attacks and have difficulty breathing after eating food. Is it common? What should I do? Can anyone tell me why I experience anxiety after eating food?

@ume Hello, Many people report anxiety after eating. It may be due to changes in your neurotransmitter or hormone levels once you get food in your stomach, or it may be due to the energy you get from sugars or the way your body releases hormones to control metabolism. Anxiety after eating is not uncommon, especially for those with panic attacks. Since no research has definitively linked the act of eating to causing anxiety. Eating food is and should be an enjoyable experience for all of us. If you're still feeling anxious after a meal, don't hesitate to reach out for help.
