Hello, I learnt that one of my distant relative is suffering from Pyoderma gangrenosum. What is Pyoderma gangrenosum? How is it treated? All I know is it's a dermal disorder. Please elaborate on this so that I can have a perspective.

@gilli Pyoderma gangrenosum is a rare, destructive cutaneous disorder that is seen as a painful, rapidly enlarging ulcer. Pyoderma gangrenosum characteristically presents as single or multiple lesions that are usually found on the lower extremities and less commonly on the arms, face, or mouth. It begins as a pustule or plaque and rapidly progresses to a painful, expanding, phagedenic ulcer, with central necrosis and an irregular, raised, violaceous border. In its early stages, however, this lesion can be indistinguishable from a pyogenic wound infection.
