      Hello, I am a 44 years old male. I am suffering from arthritis and have had chronic pain in my joints. I have heard that dieting can make you feel better. Is it true? Does food really cause inflammation in people with arthritis? Arthritis is a common health condition involving chronic inflammation in joints. Does food really cause inflammation in people with arthritis?

        @vikas-jain Hello, what you eat can affect the levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) a marker for inflammation in your blood. That could be because some foods like processed sugars help release inflammatory messengers that can raise the risk of chronic inflammation. Here are foods and beverages to avoid if you have arthritis.
        Limit your sugar intake, avoid vegetables like tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, potatoes, Foods high in purines like meat and beer, and other alcohol. Foods that increase inflammation, such as sugar and saturated fat, may worsen arthritis symptoms avoid or reduce the consumption.
