Can anyone tell me something about Gangrene?
-
Hello, I am a 20 years old male. Yesterday my mother told me that my aunt’s uncle died. She said that he had diabetes along with gangrene. I don’t know anything about it. Can anyone tell me something about Gangrene like what causes it and what are the symptoms?

@giriv Gangrene is the death of body tissue due to a lack of blood flow or a serious bacterial infection. It commonly affects the arms and legs, including the toes and fingers, but it can also occur in the muscles and in organs inside the body, such as the gallbladder. Treatments for gangrene include surgery to restore blood flow and remove dead tissue, antibiotics if there is an infection, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It can be threatening if you have diabetes.
Symptoms of Gangrene include Skin discoloration, Swelling, Sudden, severe pain, and Skin that feels cool or cold to the touch. Gangrene is a serious condition and needs emergency treatment.
Causes of gangrene include Lack of blood supply, infection, and injury. Gangrene can lead to serious complications if it's not immediately treated. Bacteria can spread quickly to other tissues and organs. May need to have a body part removed (amputated) to save a life.
