what are the common symptoms of diabetes? and at what point should you be tested ? and are there anyways to test yourself without seeing a doctor?
-
@mrinal The symptoms of Diabetes are as follows:
- Frequent thirst.
- Frequent urination.
- Feeling hungry even after a meal.
- Blurred vision
- Weight loss.
- Fatigue.
- Abdominal pain.
- Nausea.
- Vomiting.
- Slow healing sores.
- Muscle cramps and/or numbness in your legs, feet and/or hands.
- Dry mouth.
- Nervousness.
- And/Or Dry Itchy Skin.
Not all of the above may be present, and with some people there be no symptoms, but this is the exception rather than the rule.
The cost of a good blood glucose monitor along with the test strips will be much more expensive than one or two visits to the doctor's office The doctor will also take your medical history including if you have diabetes in your family which is a risk factor.
If you suspect you have diabetes, get to a doctor.
