Fluttering during the night and tightness in the chest. Is it because of Asthma?

I am a 29 years old male. I have tightness in my chest, occasionally I have a dry cough. I am asthmatic but I keep getting occasional pain. Although the pain is mild it is on the left side. It lasts for a few seconds and then goes away. I also notice fluttering in my heart during the night. I know this is serious but could it be a possibility this is just the symptoms of my asthma? Should I worry?
