      Hello, I am 17 years old female. I am facing some mental health issues and I feel like I lost everything. I am taking therapy and my therapist asked me to change my lifestyle like I should include exercise in my daily routine. I don’t feel like going to the gym. What can I do? My question is how can exercising improve mental health? How they are related?

        @ella Hello, whatever you are feeling I am glad you reach out to your doctor. It is true that physical health affects mental health. People who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness. Exercise not only boosts our mood, concentration, and alertness but improves our cardiovascular and overall physical health. Exercise can boost your mood, concentration, and alertness. It can even help give you a positive outlook on life. The levels of chemicals in the brain, such as serotonin, stress hormones, and endorphins, change when you exercise. Exercise can improve your sense of control, coping ability, and self-esteem. People who exercise regularly often report how good achieving a goal makes them feel. Exercise increases your energy levels. You don’t have to spend hours in a gym or force yourself into long, monotonous workouts to experience the many benefits of exercise. Going for a leisurely walk, or activities like stretching and yoga can also have huge benefits on your mind and body. Exercise will give your mental health a boost.
