      should people who are glucose intolerant monitor their blood sugar levels. (if so, how often) and should they stick to a diabetic type of diet?

        @keerthi Can you give us more information? I would guess that "glucose intolerance" might mean the same thing as "insulin resistance"? At any rate, it would be indicitave that your body is unable to process carbohydrates correctly either due to lack of enough insulin or to insulin resistance. In either case, the short answer is YES, you should be following a diabetic diet and monitoring your blood sugar levels.
        How often to monitor? Well, if you're not on medications, a couple of times a day should suffice.
