Hello, I have heard people who have cysts have PCOS but I don’t have any cysts yet I am diagnosed with PCOS. I gained a few kgs and didn't get my period in four months so I decided to visit my doctor. Can anyone tell me is it possible to have PCOS without a cyst?

@svetlana Yes, it is possible. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects a woman’s hormone levels. Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes their body to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant. Gaining weight, acne, irregular period, headaches are symptoms of PCOS. It is a good thing that you don’t have a cyst hence it can be managed with a healthy diet and exercise. Thank You.
