Hello, I am 17 years old male. I think I am in depression as I feel lost. I think I don’t fit in. I don’t have any urge to do things. I don’t how to describe my situation. I can’t share my problems with my family because I am scared they will take me to the doctor. I am looking for other ways instead of medicine. Can anyone share some ways of overcoming depression without medication?

@mahmoud Hello, sorry to hear that. There are certain changes in your lifestyle that can help you in bettering your situation. Please talk to your family it will make things easier. You can Find workable goals that give you a sense of accomplishment. Schedule pleasant activities or events. Stay in the present. Practice gratitude, exercise (it will help you a lot), eat healthy, try to keep a regular sleep schedule. Have a daily routine. Depression is a serious condition that may grow worse over time if left untreated. There are a number of natural ways to combat feelings of depression if you don't want to take prescription antidepressant medication. These strategies can also be helpful when used to complement treatments that may include psychotherapy and medication. You should talk to your doctor or therapist to find the best approach to treating your depression. Thank You.
