Hello, for the last few weeks my left eye twitches a lot, and I even noticed that I started blinking more. Is it because of some vitamin deficiency? I am 17 years old female. Can vitamin deficiency cause twitching of the eye and more blinking? What should I do?

@liping Hello, The most common causes of eyelid twitch are caffeine, fatigue, anxiety, and stress. Eyelid twitch may appear in response to irritation caused by smoke, dust, or a foreign body in the eye. Allergies and infections may also cause irritation that leads to twitching. A deficiency of vitamin B12 or vitamin D can also affect the bones and muscles and cause symptoms including eyelid twitching. To treat this you can avoid caffeine, Get enough sleep, Don't let your eyes dry out, and Apply a warm compress on your eyes when the spasm starts. Thanks.
