Hello, will taking ginger or taking ginger in the form of tea help me in relieving my headache? I get a frequent headache and while searching for some remedies I came to know about ginger. Will taking ginger in any form help me?

@carter Hello, if your getting headaches more than usual I would suggest talking to a doctor as this could be the symptom of something major. Ginger contains gingerols and shogaols which have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. These compounds are also effective at treating nausea and vomiting, two symptoms associated with migraine attacks. Ginger extracts may also increase serotonin increasing the serotonin levels in your brain may help stop migraine by reducing inflammation and restricting blood vessels. Ginger has a calming effect and can even treat nausea, indigestion, and upset stomach and even relieve headaches and migraine. You can take a ginger supplement, ginger tea, and can add ginger to your food. Remember Taking too much increases your chance of mild side effects like heartburn and upset stomach. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking ginger to be sure that it doesn’t interact with any other medications you may be taking.
