Hello, my newborn has white and red bumps on his cheeks. I have seen this before also. Why do newborns get these bumps in the first place? His left cheek is even red. Can anyone tell why is it so?

@roxette Hello, no need to worry about it. Many kids get these baby acne in the initial 3 to 4 weeks after being born. It could be because of eczema, heat rash, or allergy. In babies up to 6 months old, eczema often appears on the cheeks or forehead. As the baby gets older, the rash may move to the elbows, knees, and skin creases. Tiny red or white bumps appear on the baby's cheeks, nose, and forehead typically clears up on their own in about three to four months without leaving marks. Please talk to your doctor before using any home remedy or medicine. Thank You,
