Hello, I am 2 months pregnant. I am 26 years old female. Is it safe to get vaccinated during pregnancy? Can I get the COVID-19 vaccine if I am pregnant? What should I do? Is it safe?

@trixie Hello, Yes it is safe to get vaccinated. It will not cause any sort of infection to you and your baby. Vaccination during pregnancy builds antibodies that might protect the baby. When people receive an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine during pregnancy, their bodies build antibodies against COVID-19, similar to people who are not pregnant. Antibodies made after a pregnant person received an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine were found in umbilical cord blood. This means COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy might help protect babies against COVID-19. It may provide protection to the baby.
