Hello, I am 30 years old female. I gave birth three months back. Recently COVID-19 vaccination started in my city. Can I take the COVID-19 vaccine? Should I wait for some time? What should I do? When can I get the covid-19 vaccine after giving birth?

@casey Hello, yes you can take the COVID-19 vaccination. Postpartum vaccination will help protect moms from getting sick, and they will pass some antibodies to the baby through breastmilk if they are able to breastfeed. COVID-19 immunity can pass to the baby through breast milk after you receive the vaccine. The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine recommends that all breastfeeding individuals get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Vaccination after pregnancy is especially important. Thank You.
