Why do I get a cough only at the night?

For the past two weeks, I have had a cough that only happens at night. when I'm laying down but also happens when I'm sitting up. I sometimes get this urge to cough when I take in a deep breath but this is again only at night? I don't cough during the day, I feel fine and I am fine. I am not getting any sleep because I am waking up to cough? Why do I get a cough only at the night?
