Hello, my husband’s blood was normal but today’s in the noon his blood pressure level drops. When we confronted this doctor he said maybe it is because of the skipped meal. I am sure but he missed breakfast. Can anyone help me with this? Can hunger cause blood pressure levels to drop?

@shayala Hello, maybe his blood pressure increased after eating a meal. That's because after eating food, our body gets busy redirecting the blood to the digestive tract to help in the digestion process. This diversion of blood pressure may lead to a temporary decrease in the blood pressure in other parts of the body. To compensate for this change, the blood vessels in other parts of the body constrict, causing your heart to beat faster and with more pressure to maintain a healthy blood pressure level throughout the body. When you skip a meal, your body doesn’t get the required carbohydrates that act as the body’s fuel. This leads to a drop in blood sugar levels, affecting the normal functioning of your organs. With this fluctuation in blood sugar levels.
