What are shingles and its symptoms of shingles?

Hello, my 18 years old son has rashes on his face and it burns. I am not sure what it is but my neighbor said that it could be shingles. I don’t know what are they. Can anyone help me with this? Can anyone tell me what is shingles, how it is caused, and what it is symptoms are? Thank you.

It causes pain and burning, it usually appears on the neck and face. Its symptoms include rashes, burning, fever, chills, headache, fatigue. If it is near the ear it can even cause hearing loss please take the help of a doctor. Thank You.
