Hello, I am 22 years old female. Why do I get a headache during my periods? I even feel nauseous. I am still feeling nauseous and have a headache in spite of taking painkillers. Can anyone tell Why do I get a headache during my period? How should I treat it? Thank You.

@lavii Headache during menstruation is caused by the fluctuation of estrogen and progesterone during periods. When a person experiences headaches around the time of their periods, the pain may stem from PMS or menstrual migraine. Headaches that occur before, during, or immediately after a period may stem from PMS or menstrual migraine. Over-the-counter pain relief medication can often ease mild headaches. If your pain is severe then please talk to a doctor. Thank You.
