Hello, I am 20 years old. My roommates told me that I snore a lot, and they can’t sleep. What should I do? I can’t afford a single room but at the same time, I don’t want to bother them as well. I even talked to a medical professional at the hostel, he said it is normal, nothing to worry about. Please suggest some remedies to get rid of snoring.

@tanjay Hello, Snoring happens when air flows through your throat when you breathe in your sleep. This causes the relaxed tissues in your throat to vibrate, which leads to harsh, possibly irritating sounds. As everyone says you shouldn’t ignore snoring as it could be a symptom of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) or something related to the mouth, nose, or throat. Here are some remedies that you can try-

        • Sleep on your side
        • Get enough sleep
        • Use nasal strip or dilator
        • Avoid alcohol and smoking
If home remedies and lifestyle changes do not reduce your snoring or wake up dry mouth, or sore throat then talk to your doctor. Thank You.
