Can levothyroxine cause dry mouth?
Hello, I recently started taking levothyroxine to treat my hypothyroidism. I observed after starting levothyroxine I started having a dry mouth. I even wake up with a dry mouth and during the day also. I started drinking water a lot. Should I be concerned? Please tell me Is it because of levothyroxine or diabetes?

It works by replacing the thyroid hormone that is normally produced by the body. Levothyroxine, a thyroid placement therapy, causes dry mouth and is a much more common side effect.
