Hello, I recently started taking levothyroxine to treat my hypothyroidism. I observed after starting levothyroxine I started having a dry mouth. I even wake up with a dry mouth and during the day also. I started drinking water a lot. Should I be concerned? Please tell me Is it because of levothyroxine or diabetes?

@vetri Levothyroxine is used to treat hypothyroidism. t works by replacing thyroid hormone that is normally produced by the body. It works by replacing the thyroid hormone that is normally produced by the body. Levothyroxine, a thyroid placement therapy, causes dry mouth and is a much more common side effect. Other side effects of levothyroxine are Abdominal or stomach cramps, change in appetite, diarrhea, hair loss, and headache. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional. Thank You.
