Hello, I am 7 weeks pregnant. Many people in my family asked me to avoid some fruits as they can cause miscarriage. Will you share some of the fruits that should be avoided during pregnancy to prevent miscarriage? Thank You

Hey @lizha It might sound strange, but there are fruits that can actually trigger miscarriage. It is a preconceived notion that fruits are good for the health of the baby and the mother. However, this doesn't apply to all fruits, some can be harmful to the baby as well as for the mother. Here are some fruits you must avoid such as papaya, pineapple, crabs, eggs, Sesame Seeds, and Wild apples. Maintaining a healthy and balanced diet is essential during pregnancy. This implies including food items from all food groups so that you can derive the necessary vitamins and nutrients. Moderation is key. Anything eaten in excess can be harmful to pregnancy. It is better to consult your gynecologist and nutritionist. Thank You.
