Does drinking warm water provide protection from COVID 19?
According to a TV report, hot water bath or drinking warm water prevent Covid-19. Although the government has said that it does not kill the virus nor does it cure the disease. It added that a temperature of 60-75 degrees is required to kill the coronavirus in lab settings. Please need some clarity on this.
@panama There is some strange advice circulating about how to stay safe from coronavirus. There is no evidence that hot drinks will protect against viral infections. A hot drink might bring some relief from the symptoms of a cold, it was likely partly due to the effect it had on promoting secretions of saliva and mucus in the mouth and nose, which soothe inflammation.
