Hello, I am 28 years old female. Can anyone tell me if not eating enough causes diabetes? During my initial months I didn’t use to eat enough and last month I came to know that I have gestational diabetes. I was wondering what could be the reason? Please let me know if not eating enough causes gestational diabetes? Thanks.

@sanaja Hello, and congratulation. You can get gestational diabetes for multiple reasons like You were overweight before pregnancy, You gain weight very quickly during your pregnancy, either of your parents has type-2 diabetes, You had a baby who was stillborn, you a polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), Corticosteroid use during pregnancy, or Previous pregnancy with GD. Now you’ll have to change your diet to maintain your blood sugar level. Thank You.
