Can gastritis cause chest pain?
-
Hello, I am a 44 years old male. Please tell if gastritis causes chest pain or not? Last week I visited a cardiologist as I was experiencing chest pain for 3 days so I thought I should visit a cardiologist. I took all the tests and on the next day all the reports came, they were normal. My cardiologist said I might be experiencing chest pain because of gastritis. Is it true? Is there anyone who also suffered from the same?

@reg Hello, Yes chest pain is one of the symptoms of gastritis. Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach lining. A person with gastritis might not experience any symptoms. However, when symptoms do occur, they typically include abdominal pain. Other symptoms of gastritis are severe stomach pain, vomiting blood, and chest pain. The symptom that I developed was stomach pain. Gastritis can be acute or chronic and there are many causes of gastritis like caffeine consumption, ingestion of chemicals, excessive alcohol consumption, the use of certain medications, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and vitamin b12. Thanks.
