Hello, I am 22 years old, female. I am working from home and have been wearing headphones due to classes and work, I am worried that it will damage my ears. Please tell me Is wearing over-the-ear headphones dangerous? Will it cause problems in the long term? Will it cause hearing loss?

@ray Hello, Yes it can cause hearing loss. Headphones and earbuds can both cause hearing damage, but you have the power to reduce your risk of hearing loss. Headphones that go over your ears can also damage your hearing if you use them too long or play music too loudly. They're just not as much of a risk as earbuds are: Having the source of the sound in your ear canal can increase a sound's volume by 6 to 9 decibels — enough to cause some serious problems. You can always take preventive measures to reduce the chances of hearing loss like Turning down the volume, Using noise-canceling headphones, setting a volume limit.
        Thank You!
